Continuing my series of people I’d like to see Helena Bertinelli work with. The second person on that list: Kate Kane.
It’s easy to say that I left as Kate and came back as Batwoman. The truth, though, is that I left as your lost little girl and came back knowing exactly who I am. I came back as Kate Kane.
I feel like they wouldnt be able to tolerate each other.
And then youd have Renee trying to break up their bickering every three seconds.
Gorgeous!
The Joker: Death Of The Family // artwork by Greg Capullo (2012)
One year ago the Joker tore his own face and left Gotham for a year, Batman and his allies were left wondering what he meant by his actions and we are about to find out in a storyline called “A Death Of The Family” running from November to January in all bat-books. The Joker returned with a bang in Batman #13, more vicious and aggressive than ever, killing cops with his bare hands. What’s his plan this time? what’s he’s up to?
The first chapter of Death of The Family was all sorts of good and disturbing, one of the best comics I’ve read in years (I say this as a die-hard Marvelite.)
Looking forward to seeing the rest of what Scott Snyder & Co. have up their sleeves.

Joker by Skottie Young.
As much as I love all the awesome work Skottie Young’s been doing at Marvel, imagine him on a Joker one-shot. Based on this, that would be fan-fucking-tastic!

Was offered Swedish love and French love…
but not American love.
American love; like Coke in green glass bottles…
they don’t make it anymore.
I heard joke once:
Man goes to doctor.
Says he’s depressed, life is harsh and cruel.
Says he feels all alone in a threatening world.
Doctor says, “Treatment is simple.
The great clown Pagliacci is in town.
Go see him.
That should pick you up.”
Man bursts into tears.
“But doctor,” he says, “I am Pagliacci.”
Good joke.
Everybody laugh.
Roll on snare drum.
Curtains.
